Norwegians were baffled when a blue light soared up close to the country’s Arctic region, formed a giant spiral and shot a green-blue beam from its centre.

I know it’s old news but it’s still cool.

Please do not drive off road in Iceland
Iceland is every adventurers dream and let’s keep it like that. I’ve posted many pictures before of Iceland’s extremely modified 4x4s, but you must understand the context. We modify our cars to drive across Iceland’s frozen winter landscapes and glaciers along with Iceland’s rougher mountain roads. It is strictly forbidden to drive off road in Iceland unless the frozen ground is covered by a layer of snow thick enough to protect the delicate landscape.
Due to Iceland’s low temperatures and hostile climate, damage caused by a 4x4 can last for decades. If you drive in moss for example, the wheeltracks may be visible for well over half a century. In worse cases, the tracks tear open the thin vegetation layer allowing wind to get underneath the moss and erode the entire area.
Icelandic 4x4 owners have become aware of this and are very respectful of Iceland’s nature. Unfortunately every year a handful of foreigners visit Iceland without understanding the implications of off-roading. Please respect our laws and nature. There are plenty of extreme river crossings and 4x4 opportunities within our marked roads.
